Amateur Golfers Alert! W.I. Simonson Hosts Nationwide Tournament Benefiting Charity
Malibu, CA -- On Wednesday, August 27, you'll want to grab your favorite sticks, plenty of sunscreen, and head out to Malibu...that's where W.I. Simonson, Inc. of Santa Monica is hosting the Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championships, a nationwide amateur golf competition.
The event, open to men and women 21 or older, will be held at the luxurious Malibu Country Club Golf Course. All proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association and W.I. Simonson's local partners, Meals On Wheels West and The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce. A brand new Mercedes-Benz Sport Sedan will also be awarded to the first Hole-in-One.
The day's round will be followed by an awards reception and a sit down dinner. All golfers will receive generous tee gifts, and Cleveland Sand Wedges will be awarded to Closest-to-the-Pins on two par threes. Winners of each flight will earn Waterford Trophies and all-expenses-paid spots on a three-player team advancing to the Western Regionals in La Quinta. The winner of that tournament wins an all-expenses-paid vacation to Hawaii.
"Last year's competition was a blast," recalls Ken Silberberg, W.I. Simonson's Pre-Owned Manager, who's even more enthusiastic about the event this year. "The tournaments allow you to network with people, be out in the fresh air and bond with nature, and gain satisfaction if you do well," he shares. "And the most important thing is that it benefits not only the players and their personal goals, but the charities receiving the funds as well."
